AnneMette Bontaites is a proud Dane, born just north of Copenhagen, Denmark. She has spent most of her life living in the United States, primarily in the Boston area, but has never lost her deep connection to Denmark. She is an advertising sales director, content creator, and global marathon finisher with a passion for travel. Having completed all 7 World Marathon Majors, AnneMette combines her love of running with her curiosity of exploring and experiencing new places, cuisine, and cultures. She completed the Athens marathon in 2025, choosing that destination to close out her 11-year marathon running career in the place where marathons originated. When she goes to new places, she seeks out hidden gems by asking advice from local residents for their favorite places to spend time and eat. She would love to meet up with fellow Danes in the North Shore area of MA over coffee or for a walk/run.
